3-on-3 #9: Domestic Opulence

I'd like to go ahead and preface this post with the acknowledgment that I truly have everything in the kitchen that I could need. (Microwave? Check. Fridge? Check. Unnecessary but awesome to have toaster? Enthusiastic check!) That being said, these are definitely "nice to have" items that I would classify under the heading of "domestic opulence"!

First, we have a collection of hand soap and lotion from Williams-Sonoma. No, it won't break any banks per se, but at $30 for a bottle of hand soap and hand lotion? It's an extravagant purchase.

Second, there's the 7" santoku knife from Global. A previous roommate had a set of Global knives and they were - hands down - some of the best knives I've ever used in my life. I'd gladly settle for just one utilitarian knife by them, but even so, it's $120 for this bad boy. Ouch.

Finally, not really opulent in price per se, but there's just something about having tea or coffee in a cup with a saucer. So fancy! (And, finally, a place to rest the teabag; I don't like my teas too strong.)

As someone who's unlikely to do a big wedding with gift registries and all, I guess this is me exploring my nest-building intuition. Now that it's out of my system, time to indulge in something a little more productive: food porn! :)
