Hello! I have been shooting people with Canons since 2007. I'm a closet optimist and romantic with a dry wit and a silver tongue. I love strong coffee and dark chocolate, and enjoy a slow-paced life with my human and furry BFF's. Welcome to my little site!

Final Lessons on the Last Day (Part 3 of 3!)

8/11 through 11/11 : Focus and prioritize.
Yes, it's New Year's Eve and I never finished writing this. Maybe I didn't learn as much as I thought I did this year. Having started a full-time job again has taught me a lot about daily social interactions. I haven't done it since June 2009 and my new group of folks is definitely very, very different from my old group of coworkers. Plus, I'm just a pretty different person in terms of my social interactions from two years ago as well. Nowadays, I have the maturity to walk away from people that I feel to be bad influences.

I don't really have resolutions especially reserved for 2012. Every week or month I'll sit down and think, I really should ___________________. And then fill the blank in with stuff like:

  • Go play badminton.
  • Get rid of the stuff I don't need anymore.
  • Streamline my business even more.
  • Write my wills.
  • Plan a trip somewhere.
  • Share more photos!
I read this blog entry from Seth Godin recently and acknowledged that yes, I do just need commitment to whatever I'm doing to see it through.

Prioritize.
Focus.
Completion.

Let's see what 2012 has in store. I'm tempted to guess: same same, but different.

Have a sweet New Year....
